Geo/IP Restriction enables you to add physical location security to your SmartEncrypt solution. You can allow or restrict access to SmartEncrypt based on geographical location, IP ranges or specific IP addresses.
As an example, you could configure restrictions to only allow SmartEncrypt access from your organisation's network IP address(es) or from specific organisation locations/sites.
Good to know...
1. You cannot use IP Restrictions and Geo Restrictions simultaneously, you must choose one or the other.
2. Blacklisting blocks login from the values listed, while allowing access from everywhere else.
3. Whitelisting will allow logins from the values listed while blocking access from anywhere else.

Geo Restriction
Geo Restriction enables you to define a blacklist of countries from which login is prohibited or a whitelist which specifies the only countries from which login is allowed.
- Once enabled, choose the Geo Restriction as the restriction type and use the Blacklist or Whitelist options to specify the countries that you wish to block or allow respectively.
- When you start to type the name of a country in these fields you will be offered a matching selection from the drop-down list.
- You can add multiple countries to block or allow.
When you have completed your selections, click the SAVE button to apply.
Note: If the country can't be resolved from an IP address (e.g for an internal or private IP), then setting this will have no effect.
IP Restriction
Where country-wide restrictions may not be granular enough, IP Restriction can be used for greater access control.
- Set the restriction type as IP Restriction then use the Blacklist or Whitelist options to specify the IP addresses you wish to block or allow.
- You can enter single IP Addresses, IP Address ranges or a combination of both. For example, 192.168.1.200-192.168.1.250, 192.168.1.50-192.168.1.51, 192.168.1.75
Once you have finished entering your IP entries, click the SAVE button to apply.
